The whole process was bad. My family has bought plenty of cars from this place, so I didn't think it would be the experience I had. My Uncle went to check out the car and negotiated a price with the salesman. The salesman contacted me and we arranged for me and my wife to drive 200+ miles. My Uncle noted that the back door was broken and they were going to fix the door which was supposed to be done by the next day which was Saturday. Saturday morning, right as we are pulling up, we get a call from the salesman saying they needed to order a part for the door which wouldn't get there until Tuesday. They fill up our current car with gas for the inconvenience and I came back the following week because the car was supposed to be ready. I had already signed the paperwork so I thought this would take no more than 15 minutes, but it ended up taking 2 hours for me to leave. When I get there they couldn't find the car and it took them 15 minutes to locate it on the lot; they were supposed to have detailed the car and ready also. They finally locate the car and I test out the door and am told they are going to detail it. I wait for the detailing and get ready to drive off, but notice the car as 1/4 a tank of gas. I go back in and tell the salesman that I was told the car would have a tank of gas and also ask them to detail the car more because I saw dirt in some of the compartments of the van. They took care of the issues and I still noticed they didn't detail the back of the car because I still see dirt in the back, but I just want to get on the road for my 4 hour drive. The original salesman wasn't there but he texted me hours later saying he told someone to have my car ready. I told him about my experience and he apologized and said that he would talk to the detailing department because they have been having a lot of complaints against them. On Monday I take the car to my mechanic and find out the car has a lot of issues with it. I understand that a used car is going to have issues, but there are 2 major things my mechanic pointed out that were wrong with the car that the dealership should have taken care of because it could have caused major damage to the car.
#1. The timing belt was not changed. The car had 138,000 miles on it and the belt should have been changed at 110,000 miles.
#2. The transmission fluid was black (when it's supposed to be red) and I believe my mechanic said it had been burned. Also there were metal shavings in the transmission fluid.
My wife spoke to the manager on the 31st of October and yelled at him that they sold us a car that could have put my life in jeopardy because we were not aware of the issues. He said he was going to look into it and give her a call back. Hours passed and he didn't call, so I went on break at work and did a conference call with my wife and the manager. We noted the 2 major things that should have been done/maintained before they sold us the car (according to my mechanic) and he just brushed it off, but said he would get with his service department and see what kind of pricing they could offer us. That was 5 days ago and we still haven't heard anything from the manager.
At this point I wouldn't even trust their service department to work on the car. When we were there the 1st time signing the paperwork, our friend was in the kids room with our baby waiting for us and another lady was in the kid's room with her daughter. The lady waiting was told that they had put the new tires that she had purchased on the wrong vehicle, so basically someone drove off in a brand new car with upgraded tires and the lady said that was the 2nd time that happened.
Overall my wife and I are not satisfied with any part of this car buying experience!
